I used some of my subject matter ideas as the basis for my emulation, above you can see the start of the emulation on a rose. Even when it is incomplete or half done thing this looks very unique and I did consider leaving it at this stage but I choose to carry on until it was finished.

The left image of the feather is one I found on Pinterest and you can find it of my Pinterest board 'Inspiration' it was one of the first style of graphic design that really caught my eye in this unit. I wanted to recreate this feather using the emulation style and elaborating from the basic template of the original. On the right is the emulation, I choose use light colours like an angle feather, I like the mix of colours but maybe they are slightly to light because some you can't see against the white background.

I left it half finished so you could see the difference, contrast and compare it in on piece.
