From the starting point of the original feather potato prints, when the paint was dry I scanned them in onto photoshop and changed the threshold to make the darks fully black and the lights fully white, after I did that I took away the white background so I was only left with the black feathers and then on a separate layer under neither the black feathers I added a white background so that the feather were away from the background and I could move them individually around more easily. In the above screenshot you can see I have began to select individual feathers and move them around to rearrange, replace and resize them.
Beginning to add a choice of colour to my digitalised potato prints.
The screenshot above shows me moving the individual feathers around and changing the sizes.
A simple complete design of my feather potato prints.
Triangle Potato Print Development.
Above the screenshots show me selecting some of the triangles at printed poorly onto the paper and didn't show up very well when I change the threshold, because I this I chose to not use them and delete them.
The screenshots above show the selection, movement and grouping of the potato prints.
After grouping the triangles and adding more by Duplicating Layers I wanted to add colour to the triangles so I used a colour scheme to do so, above is the colour scheme or choices I used.
The screen shot shows some other the development with the layout of the triangles and the selection of colours.
The finished triangle potato print development, I like how the triangles are grouped and gradually get smaller and fade away. I would potentially like to use some of the potato printing results for my final piece/s but I would have to think more about how they may work or fit in, maybe I could use them on the actual make up product as the design wrap.
